An award-winning marcomms powerhouse, Sophia has worked with large enterprises and startups alike to craft ROI-focused communications strategy, boost executive visibility, develop memorable thought leadership programs, and secure top-tier press based on business imperatives. Her expertise lies in helping brands, and their executives articulate their visions, craft and tell their stories, measure their impact, and protect their reputations.
Sophia is also a diversity and inclusion (D&I) champion and architect of inclusion programs that strengthen company culture, increase brand visibility and bring people together to drive change. She’s run D&I focused initiatives for international organizations including Deloitte, Xandr (formerly AppNexus), and OU Kosher.
Having worked in both agency and in-house, she has advanced brand campaigns and media relations strategies for clients and c-suite executives across B2B, B2C and B2B2C industry players, including, but not limited to Bank of America, U.S. Bank, Capgemini, Turkcell, IBM, Infoblox, Elavon, NCR, Hewlett-Packard, SAP, KAYAK, and Food Network.
Her most recent role was as head of content and editorial for Mercer’s International Region (100+ cities and 41 countries), where she spearheaded the creation of a new global publication, Voice on Growth. Using her innovation and marketing prowess, Sophia transformed the thought leadership-focused outlet into Mercer’s most-read content engine and lead generator.
When she’s not in the office, Sophia’s off on adventures exploring new lands or spending time with her rescue pup, Obi-Wan.
With nearly 15 years of experience helping well-known B2B and B2C brands craft their communications strategies, Colby is a master storyteller. She understands how to turn whitespace into hard-hitting messaging and opportunities into powerful platform pillars.
She has led marketing and communications teams across a myriad of industries, from successful product launches for IBM to international content marketing for Alibaba Cloud to managing highly engaging email marketing programs for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
Her career has taken her from New York City to Asia and back again. This experience has given her a unique global perspective and a first-hand understanding of the importance of personalization in communications.
Her most recent role was as Principal Consultant at Text100 Hong Kong (now Archetype), where she led regional APAC teams, helped manage the local office of 25 consultants, and provided strategic counsel to multinational companies including Salesforce, Akamai, Fox International, and F5.
When she’s away from her laptop, you’ll find her in the boxing ring, on a yoga mat, or hanging out with her husband, Rich, and rescue dog, Griffin.
